Food Farmacy was born from a deeply personal journey — one that revealed to me that true healing is not found in one thing alone, but in the way we choose to live.
I have witnessed the power of food and community to restore life.
Years before Food Farmacy existed, I saw my mother come through a season of depression. It wasn’t through anything complex, but through simple, profound changes — nourishing whole foods, meaningful connection, and a renewed sense of faith and purpose. That experience planted a seed in my heart.
Years later, I faced my own battle with breast cancer.
During that time, I was once again drawn back to what I now understand as the foundations of true health — what many call the natural laws of health. I believe we are created with incredible intelligence and capacity to heal, and when we live in alignment with that design, the body responds.
Through whole, plant-based foods, hydration, sunshine, movement, rest, fresh air, faith, and supportive relationships, I found my way back to strength — even before fully understanding what my body was going through.
That journey strengthened a conviction that had been growing in me for years:
Food can be powerful medicine.
Before this chapter, I spent a decade living in New York — first as a student, and later as an executive in global banking. Those years shaped my love for vibrant, high-quality food and diverse culinary experiences.
But it was through my personal healing journey that my purpose became clear.
I stepped away from corporate life with a vision — to create a place where food is not only delicious, but deeply nourishing… where health feels accessible… and where people can experience connection, education, and community.
Food Farmacy was created from that vision.
Today, everything we do is grounded in a simple belief:
when we nourish the body, honour the way we were created, and live in alignment with the principles of true health, we create the conditions for healing.
We are here to make Food as Medicine practical, joyful, and accessible —
helping people eat well, heal well, and live well.
